About Michelle
The visionary behind Willow House Beauty
Michelle Schultz, creative director and founder of Willow House, has worked over the last 15 years to hone and perfect her vision and skills in beauty and weddings.
As a lead makeup artist at NARS, Michelle trained under creative director/makeup artist Francois Nars. She has worked many seasons of New York fashion week, as well as for commercial clients including L'Oreal, Google, Casper and Adidas. Now, with over 300+ weddings under her belt, Michelle is a leading expert in the wedding and beauty industries. She is a regular beauty contributor to BRIDES magazine + was selected as one of The Knot’s “Ones to Watch” for 2024.
A native New Yorker, Michelle loves to immerse herself in the city, trying out new restaurants and seeking new experiences. When she’s not leading the Willow House team, Michelle can be found at home watching the latest Bravo show with her partner and pets (sassy ex bodega cat Mush Mush and pug Gravy.)

Our team of 15 elite hair & makeup artists is composed of folks of all backgrounds. We are seasoned professionals who have done weddings all over the globe, each with over a decade of experience.
We’re constantly inspired by art, fashion, and the streets of New York City. We are always striving to raise the bar in wedding beauty.
We’re a tight knit crew who love being around each other, which makes for a fun wedding day! We’ll make you feel like you’re in the company of old friends while also putting you at complete ease with our expertise. We are well-versed in all styles of makeup and hair with experience ranging from editorial, red carpet, TV and film, and beyond.
Find us in-person at our hair & makeup studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It’s just down the block from some amazing shops & restaurants (message us if you want recs!). This is where you’ll come for your hair and makeup trial before your wedding. It’s equipped with gorgeous natural light as well as professional lighting to ensure you experience your trial in the best light. And maybe best of all we’ve got a fridge stocked with bubbly + La Croix ;).

The studio radiates a mix of modern sophistication and city allure, creating a tranquil haven within the vibrant surroundings—a perfect place to relax and enjoy your hair and makeup trial.
